Avaya IP Office - Small Office edition (discontinued)
The Avaya Small Office Edition is a well established communication solution that combined traditional and IP technologies to meet the requirements of small businesses. In a single unit, it can provide feature-rich phone system functionality with auto-attendant and voicemail, broadband access, WiFi, VPN tunneling and support for IP extensions or trunks.
Depending on the model chosen (of which there are 4), up to a maximum of 28 extensions can be supported - 4 analogue, 8 digital and 16 IP. This allows you to use your analogue equipment (faxes, answering machines) as well as the latest IP telephones or digital phones.
All Small Office Editions have a 4-port Ethernet Switch (layer 2) and a dedicated switched Ethernet WAN port (layer 3) making them ideal for satellite offices in need of secure voice and data networking via the internet. An additional WAN slot is also provided to support other network connections such as V35, X21 and T1 for PPP leased line or Frame Relay. The back of the unit also provides a twin PCMCIA socket for a memory card when using embedded voicemail and a Wireless LAN card when using the system as a wireless access point.
