About Mother Technologies

Mother Technologies is a privately owned Aberdeen-based organisation that provides IT (Information Technology) and telecommunication services for organisations wishing to outsource all (or some) of their in-house technical support services. We have a full-time staff of approximately 20 and our office is based in Aberdeen’s Science and Technology Park in the Bridge of Don.

Our IT services span the sale and support of business solutions for small to medium sized organisations where our portfolio covers just about all aspects of what businesses require of their computer systems. This ranges from basic local area networks comprising servers, desktops, laptops and peripherals devices to larger multi-site scenarios where complexity is increased with distributed data, connectivity and security concerns. Our specialist interest in Server-Based Computing assists the latter where our expertise lends itself to a vast spectrum of organisations (including academic institutes and local government) wishing to introduce or better their Thin-Client, Citrix or Server-Based Computing infrastructure.

With the convergence of IT and telecommunications, our telecom division is a vital addition to our portfolio. Today, business solutions regularly require IT and telecom engineers working hand in hand and our collective expertise strengthens our ability to satisfy the everyday needs of our customers. The combined expertise of our telecom staff spans more than 50 years and in the last decade they have installed more than 450 phone systems in Aberdeen and surrounding areas.

In support of our portfolio and skill sets, engineers at Mother are accredited in their disciplines by the respective vendors. Pertinent partners are Siemens Communications, Cisco Systems, Citrix Systems, BT, Thus, Computhink, Wyse Technology and Microsoft.
