Avaya 1600 IP Series (1603, 1608, 1616)

The Avaya 1600 Series is Avaya’s value range of IP phones designed specifically for the small to medium sized sector. Designed with the reliability you expect from Avaya, these cost-effective telephones provide critical features and capabilities not often found in competitively priced models.

The family of 1600 phones consists of three models, designed around different user needs:

  • The 1603 phone is designed for the walk-up and basic everyday user. The 1602 is used n locations such as common office areas, stockrooms, lobbies, or drop-in desks. Users can be visitors, employees or even customers who need a phone with a simple, familiar interface.
  • The 1608 is designed for the everyday user. Everyday users typically rely on several forms of communication including voice and email – and while they require a quality telephone, they rarely handle large amount of calls at the same time.
  • The 1616 is designed for receptionist, secretaries, and managers who answer incoming calls, transfer customers to different departments or extensions, and monitor several line appearances throughout a typical day. It provides the most amount of one-touch feature buttons that negate the need to scroll through on-screen lists.

The 1600 series phones are supported on IP Office from Release 4.2 Q4 2008 onwards.
